Ward D. Kramer
Ward D. Kramer, 84, of Pottstown, PA, husband of of Constance "Connie" (Gincley) Kramer, died Thursday at his residence.
Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late John A. and Ruth N. (Mauer) Kramer.
Mr. Kramer was a graduate of Pottstown High School class of 1943. He was employed as a tool & die maker with the former J. Ross Miller & Sons Tool & Die Co., in Kimberton, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. Mr. Kramer was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottstown. He was member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge #814, Pottstown and was Elk of the Year in 2001. He was an avid bowler, golfer and gardener. Mr. Kramer had played softball for the Pottstown Area Recreation League.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 62 years is two sons, Gary W. Kramer and his wife Debbie, Silver Springs, MD; Jeffrey T. Kramer, Limerick; one daughter Gayle A. Kramer-Hetrick and her husband Gary, Pottstown; one grandson Eric N. Kramer, Limerick and Nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother Albert J. Kramer and two sisters; Shirley Russell and Naomi Kramer.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Will Humes. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. The family will welcome relatives and friends on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of ones choice, or the American Cancer Society C/O Joan Gehris, National Penn Bank, 1830 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
