Robert E. Wien
Robert E. Wien, 89, of Terrace Lane, Pottstown, husband of Dorothea O. (Bertolet) Wien, died Tuesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Royersford, PA, he was a son of the late Henry Wien and the late Florence (Walters) Wien. Mr. Wien worked for The West Company, Phoenixville for thirty four years retiring in 1982. He served in the Army during World War II, and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Pottstown. Mr. Wien was a member of Stitcher Lodge #254 F&AM, Pottstown, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, Pottstown, American Legion Post #602, Spring City, and was an avid golfer. Surviving beside his wife of fifty nine years is a sister in law Miriam Wien, Sanatoga. He was predeceased by two brothers Clifford, Joseph Wien; two sisters Grace Wien, Anna Goodman. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Monday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory 359 King Street, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Peter Hutchinson. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in his memory to St. James Lutheran Church 1101 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
