Ralph H. Rhoads
Ralph H. Rhoads, 96, of Locust Road, Douglass Twp., husband of Ruth S. (Bower) Rhoads, died Monday at Reading Hospital & Medical Center. Born in Boyertown, PA, he was a son of the late Maurice Rhoads and the late Candace M. (Yorgey) Rhoads. Mr. Rhoads was a farmer on the family farm in Douglass Township for most of his lifetime, and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown. Surviving besides his wife is a son Timothy husband of Joanne Rhoads, Boyertown; two daughters Ruth Ann wife of Harold Grim, Boyertown, Patricia Ann wife of John Piekos, Douglassville; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and four sisters. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday from Emmanuel Lutheran Church Hanover & Walnut Streets, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Burlington Latshaw III. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made in his memory to Emmanuel Lutheran Church " Shares of Faith" 150 N. Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
