Glen G. Whitenight Sr.
Glen G. Whitenight Sr., 82, of Spring Mount, PA, husband of Doris G. (Edwards) Whitenight, died Monday, January 4, 2010 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Bloomsburg, PA, he was a son of the late Glen F. and Pauline S. (Ward) Whitenight. Mr. Whitenight was employed as a Millwright with the former Allenwood Steel Co. of Bridgeport. He was an active member of the Lower Frederick Fire Co., and a Life Member of the Sassamansville Fire Co. Mr. Whitenight was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. Surviving in addition to his wife is one son Glen G. Whitenight Jr., Spring Mount; three daughters, Darlene G. Lick, Brunswick, GA; Glenda A. Raines, Gulph Mills; Gail A. wife of Ronald Gola, Pottstown; one sister Helen wife of Kennteh Miller, Trooper; three half brothers Donald Whitenight and his wife Rose, Bloomsburg; Thomas Whitenight and his wife Barbara, Catawissa; John Whitenight, Philadelphia; Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was prededed in death by one sister Alice Organtini. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, C/O Joan Gehris, National Penn Bank, 1830 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
