Mabel (Borneman) Meloy
Mabel (Borneman) Meloy, 90, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., wife of James L. Meloy, died Thursday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Fruitville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Irene (Urffer) Borneman. She was raised by Myra (Urffer) Borneman . Mrs. Meloy was employed as a cashier with the Pottsgrove School District working in the cafeteria. She was member of Saint James Lutheran Church, Pottstown; the Neighborhood Senior Fellowship of Grace Lutheran Church, and the AARP of New Hanover Lutheran Church. Surviving in addition to her husband is two sons, Larry Meloy and his wife Barbara, Warminster; Jay R. Meloy and his wife Sue, N. Coventry Twp.; two brothers Richard Borneman and his wife Kathy, Douglassville; Leon Borneman, Gilbertsville; Four grandchildren and Three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers Robert, Walter and Frank Borneman and one sister Dorothy Hallman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday January 18, 2010 from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown at 2:00 pm. Officiating will be Reverend Peter C. Hutchinson. Burial will be in Falkner Swamp Cemetery, Gilbertsville. There will be a viewing on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
