Jacob Earl Bowen, Sr.
Jacob Earl Bowen, Sr., 62 years old lost his courageous battle to cancer on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Manor Care, Pottstown. Born and raised in Stowe, PA he was predeceased by his parents Bonnie Harper & Thurman Bowen & his first wife Kathryn Miller. He is survived by one son Jacob E. Bowen, Jr., Reading & two daughters Shari Bowen, Boyertown; Beverly George, Kalispell, MT.; and several grandchildren. Two brothers Butch and Rick Kelly, and a sister Cathy (Kelly) Burns. He was a member of West End Fire Company, German Club & St. Gabriels Lodge. Jacob worked for Asplundh Tree Co. for many years & most recently Sky Brush & Redi Lift. He was quite a handyman, a fantastic cook & most of all a loving thoughtful father, brother, & friend. Graveside services will be held 11:30 am on Tuesday February 9, 2010 in Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Donald Eisenhauer. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, C/O Joan Gehris, National Penn Bank, 1830 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
