Mildred D. (Beard) Bauer
Mildred D. (Beard) Bauer, 85, wife of the late Martin J. Bauer, died Sunday at Manatawny Manor, E. Coventry Twp. Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Effie (Koch) Beard. Mrs. Bauer was a Lab Technician at the former Philco Ford in Lansdale. She later worked for Doehler Jarvis Co., Stowe. Mrs. Bauer loved to play golf and was a member of the Twin Ponds Golf Course, Gilbertsville. She also loved to sew. Surviving are two sons Kenneth M. husband of Theresa A. Bauer, Douglassville, and Thomas T. Bauer, Miami, FL. One brother Walter Beard, Coatsville; One grand daughter Colleen wife of Jason Lexer, North Wales; and two great grand children Hannah & Ethan Lexer. She was preceded in death by one brother Jay Beard and two sisters Mary Reinhold and Arlene Beard. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Moyer. Burial will be held in St. Pauls Cemetery, Amityville. There will be a viewing from 10:00 until 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home.
