Russell W. Favinger, Jr.
Russell W. Favinger, Jr., 66, of Buchert Road, Pottstown, husband of Barbara L. (Rhoads) Favinger, died Thursday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Russell W. Favinger, Sr. and the late Joyce T. (Miller) Favinger. Mr. Favinger worked as a supervisor for Mrs. Smith Foil Company for thirty four years retiring in 2005. He served with the Army and was stationed in Korea. He loved his family very much. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved to work on cars. He is survived by two sons Russell W. Favinger, III husband of Dianna (Kline), Pottstown, Ronald S. Favinger, Limerick; a daughter Tamatha L. Lawrence, Pottstown; a sister Brenda J. Hampton wife of George Hampton, Pottstown; six grandchildren Devon Favinger, Mykael Favinger Lawrence who Russell and Barbara considered a son, Danielle, Morgan, Samantha, and Matthew Favinger.He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was predeceased by a brother Richard D. Favinger, Sr. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Burlington Latshaw III. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park with military honors. There will be a viewing Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association Memorial Processing Center 777 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 or American Diabetes Association 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwood, PA 19004.
