  Sharon A. ( Maslyn) Appleton

Sharon A.( Maslyn) Appleton, 52, widow of Paul W. Appleton III and fiance of Gary W. Black Jr., Pottstown; passed fighting Wednesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, with her family by her side.

Born in Phelps, NY, she was a daughter of John Maslyn and Carol(Madigan) Maslyn, Phelps, NY; and the daughter-in-law of Paul W. Appleton Jr. and Marie A. Appleton, Clifton Springs, NY.

Mrs. Appelton was a 1975 class graduate of MidLakes High School, Phelps, NY. She continued her education earning a 4.0 GPA and Associates degree from Montgomery County Community College and is also a certified CNA.

Mrs. Appleton was a preschool teacher and gymnastics instructor for the former Coventry Gymnastics, Pottstown, where she worked for 15yrs prior to their closing. Currently she was working for Fred Beans of Limerick, as the Auto Rent Manager for the last 8 years.

Mrs. Appleton is a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Appleton loved to ride motorcycles with Gary and gardening. She was a loving Mom and Nana.

Surviving in additon to her parents are one son Matthew P. Appleton husband of Angela, Pottstown; three daughters, Samantha J. Appleton fiancee of Jacob Pronchick, Linfield, Danielle E. Appleton fiancee of Michael Currie, Pottstown, Jamie A. M. Appleton, Pottstown; two step-sons Cody T. Black and Trevor F. Black, Pottstown; two brothers John Maslyn husband of Marcy, Clifton Springs, NY, Brad Maslyn, Phelps, NY; one sister Shelia Maslyn companion of Nicky Anderson, Phelps, NY; four grandchildren Aidan J. and Nolan M. Pronchick, Alexandra M. and Avery J. Appleton.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown. Burial will be held in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. There will be a viewing from 10:00 until 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
