Carl Christ
Carl Christ, 94, formerly of Gilbertsville and widower of Helen (Schaeffer) Christ, died Wednesday at Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph Christ Sr. and the late Margaret (Bettendorf) Christ. Mr. Christ worked for the former Doehler Jarvis Co. as a Drill Press Operator. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII with the Submarine Service Special Divison. Mr. Christ was a member of the Providence Church of the Bretheren, Royersford. Surviving are two daughters Helen Binder wife of Bruce, Talahassee, FL and Carol Kleman, Pottstown. Three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brother's Joseph Jr.; Max; Phillip; Henry; and Frank, three sisters, Helen Fillman; Elizabeth Woodley; Bertha Tyson. Services will be held at the convience of the family. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA. |
