Sara Jane (Lafferty) Roberts
Sara Jane (Lafferty) Roberts, 90, of Pottstown, widow of Earl J. Roberts, died Thursday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late James D. Lafferty and the late Esther R. (Kirkoff) Lafferty. Mrs. Roberts was a graduate of Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was a registered nurse for Albert Einstein Medical Center for nineteen years retiring in 1970. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown where she was active in the Sister Gladys Circle; and was also a member of the A.A.R.P. She is survived by two brothers James D. Lafferty, Delaware, Randall P. Lafferty, South Carolina; and a sister Pauline Kerr, Pottstown. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Lynette Chapman. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. There will be a viewing Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
