  Basil K. Budich

Basil K. Budich, 87, of Pottstown, died Friday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Perkiomenville, PA, he was a son of the late Wasil M. and Anastasia (Kozel) Budich. Mr. Budich was the owner and cook of the former Mayfair Restaurant of Pottstown for 25 years. He had previously been a cook at various restaurants in the area. He was a veteran of United States Army, serving during WWII. Mr. Budich was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Pottstown. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and the Manatawny Assoc.

Surviving are eight nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael K.; Constantine K. and Nicholas K. Budich and four sisters, Olga K. Budich; Vera Jones; Catherine Beretes; and Celia McCosker.

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Mervine & Juniper Streets, Pottstown. Officiating will be Father Jason Franchak. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery, Pottstown. There will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church.
