Janice Ann (Harvey) Metka
Janice Ann (Harvey) Metka, 73, of Douglassville, PA, wife of Karl T. Metka, died Wednesday at Manatawny Manor, East Coventry Twp., Pottstown. Born in Tacoma, Washington, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jeanette (Williams) Harvey. She was employed by the former Dampman Sturgis Oil Co., Douglassville as a dispatcher for 45 years retiring last November. She was a member of Shenkel United Church of Christ, Pottstown, she was a cancer survivor for 14 years. Surviving in addition to her husband is two daughters, Karen M. wife of Joseph T. Zogheib, Oley; Terry L. wife of Harvey H. Gabrill Jr., Boyertown; one brother Ronald Harvey, Delaware; one sister Roberta J. wife of Thomas Hutley, Washington; two grandchildren Jeremy S. Hampton and Meredith A. Hampton; one great grandchild Piper M. Hampton. Funeral Services will be 12:00 P.M. on Saturday from Shenkel United Church of Christ, Shenkel & Unionville Roads, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Bonnie L. Moore. Burial will be in Shenkel Church Cemetery. Viewing will be 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Friday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown and on Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the church.
