Arline J. (Samsel) Rowland
Arline J. (Samsel) Rowland, 72, of Pennsburg, PA, wife of the late William O. Rowland, died Sunday at Lehigh Valley Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Samsel and the late Elsie (Seder) Samsel. Mrs. Rowland was a graduate of Pottstown High School. She was employed by the former Lincoln Underware Factory as a seamstress. She was a member of New Hanover Lutheran Church, Gilbertsville. Mrs. Rowland was a member of the Pottstown Orioles. She is survived by two daughters, Judy L. Williams, Norristown; Jennifer C. wife of James Shirey, Boyertown; three sons, W. Richard Rowland and his wife Andrea, Boyertown; Brian James Rowland, Gilbertsville; Michael A. Rowland and his wife Dee, Bechtelsville. Sisters, Shirley wife of Marvin Breidegam, Boyertown; Joyce wife of the late George Shaner, Sanatoga; Delores wife of the late Gordon Shinn, Sanatoga; one brother Sam Samsel and his wife Jane, Birdsboro. Twelve Grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to atttend her graveside service on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10:00 am from Limerick Garden of Memories. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made in memory and sent to the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 to help defray funeral expenses.
