Douglas L. Eddinger
Douglas Lamar Eddinger, 80, husband of the late Sophie (Guss) Eddinger, formerly of Sycamore Rd., Douglassville, passed away at Manor Care, Pottstown on Wednesday July 14, 2010. Born in New Berlinville, he was the son of the late Harry and Laura (Moore) Eddinger. Mr. Eddinger was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Japan, and the U. S. Air Force, serving in Greenland. He was a member of the West End Fire Company, Stowe, the Knights of Columbus and the Amity Fire Company. He was employed for 47 years by Yocum Knitting Co., Stowe. He is survived by his sons, Douglas J. Eddinger and his wife Dawn, of Exeter, and Donald W. Eddinger and his wife Donna, of Douglassville; three siblings, Laris Eddinger and his wife Doris of Stowe, Mildred wife of Raymond Wolfe, Boyertown, Wanda wife of John Brower, Stowe; his five grandchildren, Grant, Brett, Sara, Sophie, and Emily. He was pre-deceased by his sister Sara and her husband Robert Fillman. There will be no services and the burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to West End Fire Company No. 1, 112 Rice Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. |
