Dorothy Mae (Powell) Prizer, 88, of Reading; formerly of Pottstown, widow of John "Jack" F. Prizer, passed away on Sunday at Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp.

Born in Spring City, PA, she was a daughter of the late Richard Powell and the late Margaret (Fryer) Powell.

Dorothy was a knitter at the Spring City Knitting Mill, also worked at Public Distillery, Kiwi, Snow King, and the salad bar at Ponderosa.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottstown.

Dorothy was an avid Elvis Presley fan.

She is survived by three sons, David W. and his wife Susan Prizer, Douglassville, John F. and his wife Kim D. Prizer, Glenrock, PA, Scott C. and his wife Debra A. Prizer, Birdsboro; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by twelve brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Patricia Goshert. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. There will be a viewing Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church, 414 High St., Pottstown, PA 19464.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
