Clyde M. Wasson, 74, of Spring Street, Pottstown, husband of Frances I. (Zeigler) Wasson, passed away on Saturday at his residence.

Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Marlin C. Wasson and the late Elizabeth F. (Tomlinson) Hunsberger.

Clyde was a tire builder for the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Company for thirteen years, and also worked as a concessioner with Clyde Wasson PA Dutch Funnel Cakes for over thirty years retiring in 2010.

He served in the Navy.

Clyde was a member of the German Club, Lower Pottsgrove Gun Club, and Pottstown Quoit Club.

Surviving besides his wife is a son, Mark A. Wasson husband of Michelle, Boyertown; a daughter, Barbara A. Wasson, Pottstown; a half brother, Eugene F. Wasson, Maryland, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a step father, Jonathan H. Hunsberger.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday July 6, 2018 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Kay Bender Braun. Burial will be private in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
