Bonnie Gayle (Beaver) Breckley, 72, of Kennesaw, Georgia, formerly of Shillington, PA, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Kennesaw Regional Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late William C. Beaver and the late Lillian (Hoffman) Beaver.

Bonnie grew up in a loving family, was active in Campfire Girls and sang in the choir at Calvary Lutheran Church in Laureldale, PA. She was a 1964 graduate of Muhlenberg Township High School and was a member of the Blue and Gold Band Color Guard. In 1968, Bonnie graduated from Kutztown State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and was a member of the Golden Bears Marching Band Color Guard in which she performed precision rifle routines at football games and parades. Following college, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer at a rural health clinic in El Salvador. Upon returning to the United States, she married Harry Breckley and moved to Kaiserslautern, Germany as a military spouse. After moving back to the United States, she worked as a bilingual case worker for Berks County Children and Youth for 3 years. After the birth of her two sons, Ehren and Sean, she dedicated her life to raising them in a Christian home.

Most of her employment positions were evaluating children with special needs or disabilities and helping their families get the services they needed. She worked at Berks County Children and Youth Services, Berks County Intermediate Unit, SSI/Care Coordination Program, and retired in 2010 from Service Access and Management Early Intervention Program. Upon retirement, she volunteered at Crosswalks assisting adults with disabilities.

She attended her 50th College Class Reunion and enjoyed walking with her alumni classmates and the graduates at Kutztown University Spring Commencement on May 12, 2018.

She was a member of the former St. Luke’s Evangelical Congregational Church in Shillington, PA and Glad Tidings Church, West Lawn, PA. She was a current active member of North Star Church in Kennesaw, Georgia, where a Celebration of Life service was held to honor Bonnie on October 13. She was a faithful member and a contributing participant of Bible Study groups in every church she attended.

Bonnie loved God, her family, and friends. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed 6 years with them in Georgia showering them with love and most importantly, her faith. Her hobbies included gardening, photography and cooking delicious meals for family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Harry Breckley; two sons, Ehren of Hampton, GA and Sean and his wife Lan Vo of Kennesaw, GA; a brother, William C. Beaver, Honey Brook, PA; a foster brother, Keith Missimer, a Dayspring resident in Reading, PA; three nieces, Aimee, Michelle and Elizabeth; three grandchildren, Kali, Landon, and Maile; two great-nieces, Sophie and Isabelle; and a great-nephew Luke. Bonnie was loved and will be missed by all.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Glad Tidings Church, 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn, PA.
