Earl L. Decker, 82, of Pottstown, husband of Mary Anne L. (Lessig) Decker, passed away on Monday at Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health.

Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Linwood R. Decker and the late Martha J. (Jones) Decker.

Earl was a 1954 graduate of Pottstown High School, attended PA Military College, and was a graduate of Ursinus College.

He was a production specialists at the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., for twenty four years, and also worked at Penco Products, Oaks until his retirement.

He was a life member of First Presbyterian Church, Pottstown.

Earl was a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elk's Lodge #814, Pottstown, where he was past exalted ruler, past state president, and grand lodge committeeman, member of Stitcher Lodge #254, Pottstown, and was a boy scout merit badge counselor. He never stopped being the husband & father his family loved.

Surviving besides his wife of sixty two years, is a daughter, Debra L. wife of Steven Sturgis, Mt. Joy, PA; a son Robert E. Decker and his wife Jan, Effort, PA; a brother James R. Decker and his wife Carol, Pottstown; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:15 A.M. on Saturday December 1, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 750 N. Evans St., Pottstown, with Elk's services being held 11:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. There will be a viewing Saturday from 8:45 to 10:45 A.M. at the church.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
