Ralph T. Quay, Sr., 90, of Spring City, PA, widower of Bertha (Bachman) Quay, passed away on Friday at Southeastern Veterans Center, Spring City.

Born in Spring City, PA, he was a son of the late Ronald R. Quay and the late Edna (Geib) Quay.

Ralph worked as an electrician for the former Phoenix Steel Company for thirty eight years, retiring in 1993, he also worked in the kitchen at Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honeybrook,and worked in maintenance at Appalachian Campground, Shartlesville, PA.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Ralph was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown, American Legion #602, Spring City, Christian Fellowship Club, and the Nifty Fifty Club at First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Ralph T. Quay, Jr., Boyertown, Ronald W. Quay, Kansas, a daughter, Betty H. Morello, Stowe; a sister, Marie wife Edwin Boettger, Spring City; four grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Adele, Beth and one great grandchild, Carter. He was predeceased by his first wife Lois A. (Smith) Quay, three brothers, Robert C., Ronald W., Richard Quay, and a grandson Ryan Thomas Quay.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday September 14, 2019 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be the Reverend Burlington Latshaw, III. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be no viewing.
