Richard M. Meadowcroft

Richard Meadowcroft, 68, of Pottstown, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020, in Pottstown Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Delaware and raised in the Kennett Square area, he was a son of the late Richard Sr. and Katherine (Markgraf) Meadowcroft.

Mr. Meadowcroft was a 1969 graduate of Avon Grove High School and went on to earn an associate’s degree in accounting. He worked in the financial field for most of his life before retiring. During his retirement, he most enjoyed spending time with his grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; a daughter, Tracy, wife of Jason Denninger, of Spring City; a grandson, Ethan Denninger; two sisters, Sally Mason of Wilmington, Del., and Joyce Magonigal of Fort Myers, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Dawn, wife of Ed Callaway, of Bristow, Va., Joan Davidheiser, wife of Angel Alvarez, of Reading, and Molly Meadowcroft of Leland, NC; four nephews; and four nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William.

A memorial service will be held at a future date at the family’s convenience.
