Bernice D. ( Waldroff) Scharneck

Bernice D. ( Waldroff) Scharneck, 83, of Barto; formerly of Pottstown, passed away on Monday at Season's Hospice, Phoenixville.

Born in Shamokin, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Waldroff and the late Agnes Waldroff.

Bernice worked as an telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone for thirty five years, retiring in 2001.

She was a member of New Hanover United Methodist Church.

Bernice was a member of the Bell Pioneers of America.

She is survived by two sons, Noah S. Scharneck, Barto, Mark R. Scharneck, Pottstown; a brother, Clarence Waldroff, Silver Springs, MD; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Keith R. and Brant D. Scharneck; and three sisters, Nancy Richards, Virginia Yocum, Betty Ebersole.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
