Eileen Dolan-Slusher

Eileen Dolan-Slusher was born on March 11th 1955 in Washington DC to the parents of: James Joseph and Mary Catherine Dolan and she had four siblings, Thomas Dolan, Robert Dolan , Joseph Dolan, Debbie Dolan.

Eileen was never ever defined or hindered by her disability, Spina bifida. In fact it is what propelled her to accomplish all the amazing things she accomplished in her life. She absolutely refused to let it stop her from doing anything and everything she set her mind to do. She attended Marymount University majored in Child Development and graduated in 1976 What an example she was to the kids she eventually had the privilege to teach, Never ever give up! She taught us all that!

What Eileen desired the most in life was to be a mother and to have a family. She married Michael Slusher and against the odds of never being able to have children, they had Three. Her children, Christopher Slusher, Emilie Carlino and Patrick Slusher write: 'We want to sincerely thank our mother for teaching us that in life, there isn't anything we can't overcome if we work hard enough. No matter where we go and what we do, we will always remember the lessons she taught us. We will miss her strong will and her kind heart. Mom, may you rest in peace with dad now' Eileen also has had one grandson, Kaleb Croft who writes' I always loved to see my mum mum. She holds a very close spot in my heart. She was also a very stubborn person which carried down to me, and that's why we always got along so much. Rest in peace mum mum, I love you!

Her brother Robert Dolan writes: I loved and admired my sister Eileen beyond words. I will be forever grateful for the many lessons I learned from her and she will forever live on in my heart as my HERO.

Eileen, from your family and everyone who’s ever loved you:
May the roads rise to meet you,
May the Winds be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
