Thomas J. Carroll Sr.

Thomas J. Carroll Sr., 74, of Spring City, PA, husband of JoAnn M. (McKain) Carroll, died Monday, January 25, 2021, at Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville.

Born in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late Robert and Teresa (Nugent) Carroll. Thomas was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a purchasing agent until his retirement in 2007. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during Vietnam.

Thomas was a member of the Pottstown German Club, and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, the 1959 Soapbox Derby Champion, with more than 50 years, and 3 generations involved in the Conshohocken Soap Box Derby Association.

Thomas was predeceased by brothers, Richard Carroll, David Carroll; and sister Maryann Long. In addition to his wife JoAnn he is survived by his only son, Thomas J. Carroll Jr., Limerick; daughter, Jennifer L. Pliszka, Conshohocken; brother, Robert Carroll; sisters, Christine Moulder, Noel Carroll-Lawless, and Susan Raimondo, Four grandchildren, Alanah, Chiara, and Zane Carroll and Jett Riccioli, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Due to the current Pandemic restrictions, services will be private. Burial will be held at 1:15 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 in Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA with military honors. After the Pandemic restrictions lift, the family looks forward to hosting a celebration of life at a later time with extended friends and family, and are sorry to not be able to gather together with all Tom's loved ones and friends.
