Adam Wambach, 101, of Newark, DE; formerly of Pottstown, husband of the late V. Ruth (Yocom) Wambach, passed away on Monday, February 1 at Christiana Care, Newark DE after a battle with COVID-19.

Born on the family farm in Knauertown, PA, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Engelman) Wambach.

Adam was a mechanic for twenty seven years at the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. In his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and traveling. He also enjoyed polka dancing, playing cards with his friends and spending time at his home in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

He was a member of St. Paul's Church in Stowe, and the Sanatoga Grange #25.

He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Fresconi (Sam) of Wilmington, DE; two grandchildren, Angela Fresconi and Kelsea Fontana (Dominic); two great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Dominic; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Michael, John, and Donald Wambach, and eleven sisters, Sara Hospador, Gertrude Grepps, Anna Kaufman, Helen Litzenberger, Margaret Wambach, Mary Drumheller, Susan Schlegel, Elizabeth Cashwiler, Catherine McConaghy, Dorothy Surman, and Jean Wambach.

There will be a visitation from 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. on Friday February 12, 2021 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Burial will be private.

Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Paul's Church, 653 Glasgow St., Stowe, PA 19464.
