H. Truman Tyson, 98, of Boyertown, widow of June S. (Lindenmuth) Tyson, passed away on Sunday at Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown.

Born in New Hanover, PA, he was a son of the late S. Harvey Tyson and the late Irene (Crater) Tyson.

Truman was a purchasing agent at the former Stanley G. Flaggs Company, Stowe for forty years, retiring in 1987.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Truman was a member of Zion's United Church of Christ, Pottstown where he was very active.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #471, Boyertown, loved his gardens, fishing, and his family very much.

He is survived by a son, Philip A. Tyson and his wife Janice M., Frankford, DE; a daughter, Linda T. wife of Scott B. Egolf, Gilbertsville; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Evelyn Rahn, Elma Hoffman, Esther Witwer.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday October 1, 2021 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Sullivan. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. There will be a viewing Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made in his memory to Zion's United Church of Christ, 209 Chestnut St., Pottstown, PA 19464 or Caring Hospice, 400 Commerce Dr., Fort Washington, PA 19034.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
