James C. Dunlap, Sr., 83, of Pottstown, widow of Roberta "Bertie" J. (Fizz) Dunlap, passed away on Wednesday at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in East Nantmeal, PA, he was a son of the late James Earl Dunlap and the late Addie S. (Gloss) Dunlap Wade.

James was a machine operator at Neapco, Pottstown for thirty eight years, retiring in 2000. He also worked at Bethlehem Steel.

He was a life long sprint car fan of Fred Rahmer at Williams Grove Raceway, he also loved traveling with Chris Christman and George Hill to all the sprint car races.

He is survived by two sons, James C. Dunlap, Jr. and is wife Terry, East Greenville, Brian K. Dunlap and his late wife Judith Miller, Pottstown; a daughter, Denise L. wife of Jeffrey Miller, Bally; a brother, Harry Dunlap and his wife Carie, Boyertown; a sister, Dorothy Hine, Elverson; a half brother, Ephriam Wade, Jr. and his wife Judy, Douglassville; a half sister, Anna Webb, GA; and six grandchildren, Koti, Jenna, Cedric, Harrison, Dalton, Charlene. He was predeceased by a sister, Rose Fizz.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory 359 King St., Pottstown. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
