Charles M. Landis, Jr., 92, of Pottstown, widower of F. Beryl (Slaymaker) Landis, passed away on Sunday May 29th.

Born in New Hanover Twp., PA, he was a son of the late Charles M. Landis, Sr. and the late Stella V. (Dotterer) Landis.

Charles worked at B.F. Goodrich for thirty years and then at Handy and Harman Tube Company, retiring in 1995.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Evangelical Church for many years and more recently of Huff's Union Church.

Charles was a member of Stichter Lodge #254 of Pottstown, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Pottstown Elks Club #814 and the Evergreen German Club in Blandon, PA.

He is survived by two sons, Keith C. Landis (Carol), Kutztown; Timothy A. Landis (Sue), Perkasie; two brothers, Russell Landis and Robert Landis, Gilbertsville; and two grandchildren, Micah Charles Landis, Alyson Tait Landis. He was predeceased by five brothers, Gerald, Kenneth, Richard, William and Walter Landis, and four sisters, June Mauger, Betty Weinsteiger, Doris Thornton, Shirley Searfoss.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.
