He always loved playing trumpet, singing and dancing, everything jazz and big band. He had a band he formed in school called the “Twighlighters”
Tom was the son of Thomas E. Brookover and Gladys Spence Brookover. He grew up in Downingtown, graduated from Downingtown High School, and went to Albright college and graduated from Eastern Baptist. He resided in Downingtown into his 30s. He was President of the Jaycees in his young adult years, and worked many years for New York Life Insurance. (Man of the Year in 70’)

He also had a church “The Old Rugged Cross” in the 90’s through 2012 in Pottstown.
Tom was always quick with a joke and wanted to make sure everyone knew about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and talked freely about Him to many, always handing out tracts to anyone who was interested.
Tom’s beliefs were firm, his opinions strong and his heart huge.. He insisted on always being stocked with Pepsi in case anyone stopped in. He helped people struggling as best he could, always saying, "What do I have here to give them"? and always praying for everyone.
He leaves behind 4 children Thomas Brookover III, (Kari), Lisa Jones (Mark), Lauren Currie, Rebecca Chortyk (Roman), 8 Grandchildren and 3 Stepchildren, Jill Slawecki, Jacqueline Masicampo and Jack Pritchard along with his brother William Brookover and sister Mary Anne Geary.
