Donald D. Detweiler

Donald D. Detweiler, 82, of Royersford, PA, husband of 59 years to Cheryl A. (Detwiler) Detweiler, died Friday September 8, 2023 at his home.

Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Donald G. Detweiler and the late Ferne (Guest) Detweiler . Donald was employed for many years by the former Meadowbrook Dairy as a milkman. He later worked in the maintenance department of the Pottstown School District. He was a member of Pineforge Sportsmans Club. He was a baseball coach for Lower Pottsgrove Athletic Association; Upper Pottsgrove Recreational Association; Pottsgrove American Legion and Upper Pottsgrove Junior Legion.

Surviving in addition to his wife is one son, Kirk Detweiler and his wife Dawn; one daughter, Keli A. wife of Matthew Wagner. One sister Dorothy wife of Lee Stillings. Three grandchildren, Dylan, Mya and Heather.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.

All services for Donald D. Detweiler will be kept private at the request of the family.
